Volatile Organic Compound
An organic compound with a high vapour pressure at room temperature, which causes large numbers of molecules to evaporate or sublimate. VOC's are detectable with colorimetric gas sampling tubes in various ranges, with PID instrument for exposure purposes, and with LEL sensors for explosion hazard prevention purposes.
